Salbex Pressed PVC Sheet

Salbex is manufactured from calendered, unplasticised PVC foil, which is laminated under the influence of heat and pressure. The materials have a high quality surface finish, good dimensional stability, toughness and rigidity, good resistance to corrosion and a wide range of chemicals.

Salbex can be supplied in the following grades:

A full range of opaque colours for signs, cladding doors and walls, displays and general fabrication. UV Stabilised and incorporates ingredients selected to ensure freedom from toxic hazard when in contact with food. |
| Transparent |
A range of clear and tinted sheets for screens, signs, glazing, roof lights display and fabrication. |
| Industrial |
Ideal for chemical tank lining, ducting and sign backing. Particularly designed for applications where good chemical resistance is essential. |
| Clear Wire and Carbon Fibre Glass Mesh |
Transparent grade incorporating a wire or glass mesh laminate in the middle of the sheet, used in dome or roof lights. AA rated to BS476: Part 3 1975 |
| Opal |
Excellent light diffusing quality sheet for indoor and exterior use with light transmissions of between 30-60% depending on thickness. Emergency lighting, light boxes and point of sale displays |
| HP |
A non toxic, non porous and non absorbant sheet which meets the requirements of the food industry and is used as a chopping surface or board. |

Salbex is normally supplied with a film protection on both sides except the industrial grade.

Care and Maintenance
Cleaning is best carried out with dilute soap or detergent solution, once the enclosure has been thoroughly rinsed to loosen the buildup dirt. Soap should be rinsed off thoroughly. Proprietary cleaners should not be used unless specifically stated to be suitable for cleaning purposes, as they may contain either an abrasive or solvent, both of which will adversely affect the PVC surface.
