Polysulphone

Polysulphone is an amorphous translucent engineering thermoplastic with good thermal mechanical strength for demanding applications.

Key Features:

  • Translucent.
  • Good thermal mechanical strength.
  • Suitable for repeated superheated steam sterilization.
  • Gamma ray resistant.
  • Good electrical insulation.
  • Good weldabiliy.
  • Self-extinguishing V-0.
  • Easily machined – care required with coolant, susceptible to stress cracking.

Applications:

Metering apparatus, sterilization tanks, catalyst supports, coil formers, insulators, sensor housings, surgical instruments, light sockets, flanges, switch parts, valve bodies, sight glasses
