Weldstop Blankets

Weldstop Blankets

Weldstop blankets are constructed from a glass cloth base fabric, treated with an ultra-fine mineral based aqueous dispersion. Similar to the refractory glass cloth, this provides a coating of platelets which, at high temperatures, melt to create a protective layer for the base glass cloth. The mineral based treatment also improves the abrasion resistance of the material. Weldstop blankets are capable of withstanding hot metal splashes and welding sparks and, as such, are most frequently used in the manufacture of welding screens and curtains.

Weldstop blankets can be supplied cut to size, by the roll, or manufactured to suit your bespoke requirements. It is also available to buy online at PAR Direct by clicking the link above.
