Thermoplastic Road Markings
Preformed thermoplastic mastic for precise durable and sharp edged marking of lines and the application of symbols, letters, numbers and traffic signs to road surfaces.
Available in a choice of white reflective or yellow non-reflective colours.
Simply applied using a blowpipe, which are also available.
Will adhere to all normal ground and floor surfaces, e.g. concrete, asphalt, tar, composite paving, tiling etc.
Vehicular access can be permitted again after only 30 minutes.

Surfaces designated as reserved e.g. exit-ways – entrance-ways – factory space - drives – weigh bridges – vehicle escape lanes – airport areas – garages – danger zones – pedestrian walkways – warehouse space - storage areas – plant and machinery danger zones - multi-story car parks – parking bays – manhole covers – school playgrounds – security zones - stacker lanes – reserved storage areas – underground car parks – traffic training courses – traffic lanes – works’ areas – workshops, etc.
Effortless marking, both internally and externally:
Ensure surface to be worked on is dust and grease-free. (During cold weather the surface should be pre-heated with a blowpipe)
The materials can then be laid down and marked out before removing the protective film.
The blowpipe should then be regulated to take into account the surrounding conditions.
Move the gas burner flame continuously over the marking at a distance of 15cm approx. and heat the surface from the centre to the edges until the material has melted sufficiently. At this point it will begin to bubble and bond to the surface.
Avoid concentrating the flame on any fixed point at this can lead to discolouration.
The spaces between the characters should be more that 5mm apart.
Before drying, glass beads can be sprinkled on to the surface to enhance their reflective quality.
In cases of smooth, we would recommend pre-treating with a suitable primer.
