High Temperature Insulation

Monolux®

Monolux®

Monolux

® is manufactured from a calcium silicate and reinforced with selected fibres and fillers. It is a lightweight, non-combustible building board for use in fire resisting constructions, linings and as machined components.

Monolux® is available in 2 grades:

Grade  Temperature  Specification
Monolux 500®  Up to +500ºC  Higher density, greater impact resistance and strength for machining.
Monolux 800®  Up to +800ºC  Increased strength and temperature rating.

 Key features:

  • Non-combustible.
  • Moisture resistant.
  • Low thermal capacity.
  • Low conductivity.
  • Can be machined to close tolerances.
  • High strength.
  • Excellent thermal insulation.
  • Low shrinkage.
  • Can be treated to suit highly aggressive environments.
  • Ideal for single skin applications.

    Applications:

Platen press, ovens and dryers, load bearing pipe supports, heat shielding structural thermal breaks, boiler baffles, flue gas baffles, structural thermal breaks.
