Abrasion resistant polyurethane ducting products are particularly versatile and can be used to transport a wide range of abrasives, solids, and other harmful media. This may include powders, dusts, wood shavings and fibres, as well as gaseous media and fumes. Various weights and options are available from stock, including light, medium and heavy duty, food approved, and electrically conductive.
Polyurethane ducting is most commonly used in extraction applications where constant abrasive wear inevitably results in original equipment becoming damaged and unusable. Polyurethane is both extremely durable and flexible, typically providing a longer working life than other material types such as PVC and rubber coated fabrics.
Flexible PU ducting is available to purchase in coils or by the metre, and offset bridge clamps are available in order to fasten the ducting to your equipment. These help to provide a more effective seal than regular worm drive clips due to the spiral helix of the ducting. Our standard stocked medium duty ducting. 6503 is food approved and is suitable for a range of solid, liquid and gaseous media. Available from 38mm - 550mm inside diameter. Temperature range of -40°C up to +100°C.
Similar to 6503 but with an identifiable blue polyurethane coated steel spiral helix. 6502 is particularly popular in the food industry. Available from 38mm - 315mm inside diameter. Temperature range of -40°C up to +90°C.
A heavy duty option with a cream PU coated steel spiral helix. The thicker wall increases durability, but also reduces flexibility. Available from 20mm - 305mm inside diameter. Temperature range of -40°C up to +90°C.
6505F is our heaviest duty food grade ducting. It is highly resistant to abrasion and has an almost smooth bore for optimum flow. Available from 20mm - 500mm inside diameter. Temperature range of -40°C up to +90°C.
6501 is more flexible when compared to the heavier duty options due to the thinner wall. This makes it ideally suited to lighter abrasives. Available from 25mm - 500mm inside diameter. Temperature range of -40°C up to +90°C.
A heavier duty, more robust version of 6503. The thicker wall makes the ducting more durable, but also increases the bend radius. Available from 25mm - 305mm inside diameter. Temperature range of -40°C up to +90°C.
Very heavy duty ducting is typically used to convey particularly abrasive granules, pellets and chips. Smooth bore and non-toxic. Available from 32mm - 305mm inside diameter. Temperature range of -40°C up to +90°C.
A heavier option to 6505 ducting with a 2mm thick wall. It is designed to provide exceptional flexing for highly abrasive applications. Available from 38mm - 250mm inside diameter. Temperature range of -40°C up to +90°C.
6503AS is coated with a special TPU compound which makes the wall material itself flame retardant and anti-static to 108 Ohm/mtr. Available from 25mm - 254mm inside diameter. Temperature range of -40°C up to +90°C.
Manufactured from a conductive black polyurethane material. Suitable for use where electrical conductivity is required. Available from 38mm - 203mm inside diameter. Temperature range of -40°C up to +90°C.
A heavier duty version of 6504EC. Also manufactured from conductive TPU, 6505EC has a thicker wall, making it more robust. Available from 38mm - 203mm inside diameter. Temperature range of -40°C up to +90°C.
Manufactured from a two ply soft PVC with spring steel wire helix. Suitable for the suction and delivery of liquids, gases and fine particles. Available from 25mm - 102mm inside diameter. Temperature range of -0°C up to +70°C.
Thermoplastic rubber reinforced with a steel spiral. 6520 is particularly suitable for the suction of hot air, fumes and gases. Available from 38mm - 406mm inside diameter. Temperature range of -40°C up to +125°C.
