By using the simple formula below, you will be able to calculate the exact quantity of spiral hose and cable protection required. This will help avoid over or under buying when placing your order.

(Outside diameter of hose ÷ inside diameter of plastic spiral hose protection) X Length (m) of hose to be covered.

For example:

A 20m length of 40mm diameter hose would require GX40:
40 ÷ 33 = 1.21 x 20 (length of hose) = 25 metres of plastic spiral hose & cable protection.
