Gunmetal Instantaneous Fire Couplings
Gunmetal instantaneous fire couplings have a female spring loaded catch which release when disconnected from the male. They are commonly used by the British fire brigade for the delivery of water to firefighting systems but are sometimes used as an industrial hose coupling. They have a 2½" nominal bore head (either male or a female) and terminate in a variety of sizes of BSP female thread, BSP male thread and hose tails. Gunmetal fire couplings are ideally suited to corrosive environments such as offshore.
