Angus Super Aquaduct XLDH is manufactured using a unique through the weave one piece construction of a circular highly woven high tenacity polyester reinforcement totally encapsulated in a tough polyurethane cover and lining. The Angus Super Aquaduct system gives you a mobile, layflat hose solution offering numerous advantages over rigid pipe.
Angus Super Aquaduct offers an increased flow of water and ease of use when compared to traditional steel pipes for a number of reasons:
Firstly Angus Super Aquaduct swells under pressure causing a temporary increase in diameter, thereby reducing pressure loss and further increasing the flow of water when compared to steel pipe.
Secondly due to its smooth surface lining this hose is not susceptible to internal corrosion or bacterial growth, as opposed to steel pipes which become pitted and corroded.
Thirdly, due to the continuous manufacturing lengths (up to 200 mtrs) Angus super Aquaduct XLDH offers a large number of logistical benefits as it can be supplied on reels or flaker trucks for direct deployment and retrieval.

As overland pipelines demand continuous refurbishment the water authority became convinced of the benefits of large bore superaquaduct. Their technique involved inserting flanged victaulic couplings into the existing pipeline and bypassing such sections using Super Aquaduct.
For joining of pipe systems we recommend Victaulic Grooved Couplings and stainless steel banding which is field fittable.
