Quad Rings & Quad Ring Seals
In critical sealing applications, or when pressures are too high or low for normal use of an O-Ring, the Quad Ring can often be a viable alternative. With its four lobe design it gives twice the sealing surface of a standard O-Ring, which requires less squeeze to form an effective seal, resulting in less friction and longer seal life. The shape of the Quad Ring also gives it greater stability in the groove, resisting spiral twist, and helps it withstand pulsating pressures that often cause O-Ring seals to be extruded from the groove.
Quad Rings are available in all standard BS/AS sizes, and can be supplied in either Nitrile or Viton®, together with a limited range in EPDM. We can also supply all the standard sections of Quad Ring Cord in Nitrile.
