PAR Support Local Foodbanks

Our Manchester and Preston sites have been busy raising donations for local foodbanks as part of our on-going community and charity work. We chose foodbanks because hunger is becoming an ever more concerning issue throughout the UK. Recent research undertaken by the Trussell Trust reported that between 1st April 2016 and 31st May 2017, over 1 million emergency food packs were handed out to families throughout the UK. Factors such as low income to delays in receiving wages have led to increased demand. Further independent research undertaken reported that approximately 13 million people are living below the poverty line, many of which are children. At PAR, we firmly believe that no family should ever have to go hungry.

On the 12th December, we delivered donations to the LW Storehouse in Chorley and to the Rochdale Foodbank (The Trussell Trust):

LW Storehouse Chorley Donations
Rochdale Foodbank (The Trussell Trust) Donations

We would like to take this opportunity to say a big well done and thank you to staff for their efforts in donating to two very worthy causes.

On behalf of everyone at PAR, we would like to thank the volunteers at each foodbank for their warm welcome and continued hard work within their local communities.
