Code of Conduct

INTRODUCTION

At PAR Group, we pride ourselves on adhering to the highest standards of ethical conduct and social responsibility. Our Code of Conduct sets forth the standards and practices that apply to all PAR Group employees.

FAIR TREATMENT AND EQUAL OPPORTUNITY

We consider PAR Group to be a place of mutual trust and respect, which embraces diversity and values everyone on their merits. PAR Group strives to be a place where people’s rights are respected such that they are treated fairly and consistently.

Employment (including hiring, payment, benefits, advancement, termination and retirement) is based on ability and never on beliefs or other personal characteristics.

This includes discrimination based on sex, race, colour, national or ethnic origin, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, religion, political beliefs, trade union activity, marital status, caring responsibilities, disability, age or citizenship.

RESPECTFUL WORKPLACE & HUMAN RIGHTS

Every PAR Group employee should be respected and free from harassment.

Violence at work is unacceptable, regardless of the reason. We will not tolerate harassment or violence against an employee.

All workers are treated with respect and dignity. No work shall be subject to corporal punishment, physical, sexual, psychological or verbal harassment or abuse, nor is there to be the threat of any such treatment. In addition, PAR Group will not use monetary fines relating to salary as a disciplinary practice.

PAR Group are compliant with all relevant employment laws and regulations. In particular:

  • Comply with all applicable minimum wage and working hour’s regulations.
  • Not to be involved in slavery (use of forced, bonded or compulsory labour).
  • Not to use child labour.
  • Ensure that our operations are not involved in human trafficking.

HEALTH & SAFETY

PAR Group are committed to providing all workers with a clean, safe and healthy work environment in compliance with all legally mandated workplace health and safety standards.

We require everyone who works for or with us to understand the health and safety risks of their activities and implement good health and safety management systems, training, and practices at all times. They should also take the necessary precautions to protect everyone on site from workplace injuries and occupational illness.

BRIBERY & CORRUPTION

Bribery is considered to have taken place where there is an act of offering, providing or receiving something of value – including cash, gifts, hospitality or entertainment – as an inducement or reward for something improper. Usually, but not always, it takes place in order to obtain or retain business or some other illegitimate advantage. Bribes are against the law and, therefore, against our code.

We never offer, give or receive bribes or improper payments or participate in any kind of corrupt activity, either directly or through any third party.

For the avoidance of doubt, small gifts and entertainment which would not be expected to result in the recipient feeling obliged to give preferential treatment to the provider are not regarded as bribes.

TAX COMPLIANCE

PAR Group are compliant with all applicable tax laws and regulations and pay tax correctly in respect of those tax laws and regulations.

PAR Group has a zero-tolerance approach to all forms of tax evasion.

ENVIRONMENT

PAR Group recognises the importance of our role in helping to protect and improve the environment. Concern for the environment and promoting sustainability are fundamental to our business activities.

PAR Group recognises the 3R's principle of Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle, and we aim to continually improve our processes to help protect the environment.

Co-operation and involvement from all PAR employees is vital to the success of the objectives in our Environmental and Sustainability Management. We proactively encourage employee involvement and ensure staff are fully aware of our policy and that they are committed to implementing and improving it. Our Environmental Policy is reviewed and updated as required, and we provide regular training and/or information to staff and managers as appropriate throughout the year.

COMMUNITY & SPONSORSHIP

At PAR Group, we recognise the importance of supporting our local community.

As a business, we are actively involved in arranging fundraising activities to support local charities and organisations. Encouragement and support are also provided for staff in their own charitable activities and events as appropriate.

We provide donations and support to local clubs, schools and social programs; notably providing opportunities for the younger generation and encouraging children to lead active and healthy lifestyles.
