PAR Group are delighted to be able to assist our NHS by providing 100 rucksacks that will be used by palliative care teams across Manchester and Blackpool hospitals.
The aim of the palliative care team is to improve the quality of life for patients and their families. The service provides specialist symptom management, as well as psychological and social support for patients referred who have life limiting illness or progressive illness.
These rucksacks will be used by doctors, nurses and chaplaincy on a day-to-day basis, carrying essential items to those receiving palliative care. They will also help teams to transport electronic devices such as iPads between wards, providing patients the opportunity to contact loved ones who aren’t allowed to visit at this time due to the coronavirus.
