Polycarbonate sheet is a high impact plastic, with outstanding dimensional stability and optical clarity. It also provides good electrical insulation and heat resistance properties. It is easy to machine, weld and bond and can also be formed. Polycarbonate has good resistance to most inorganic chemicals, oils and dilute acids / alkalis. It also has good resistance to weathering and can be supplied UV stabilised for increased ozone resistance. PAR Group supply Palsun® and Paltuf® branded polycarbonate as standard, but can also supply other brands including Makrolon® and Lexan®.
Temperature: -50°C to +100°C (+120°C short term).
Key Features: Easily machined, polished, welded and bonded. Higher heat resistance than PETG. Care required with coolant. Flammability rating to class 1. Paltuf® is a general purpose sheet for interior use, Palsun® is UV protected on one side.*
Applications: Machine guards, doors, chutes, transparent working models, insulators, plug strips, masking covers, photo couplers, sight glasses, weather protection parts, vandal protection, security. We can also offer a plastic fabrication service using in-house bending and forming facilities.
