Polyethylene Foam Gaskets

Nitrile Rubber Gaskets - Blue Food Quality

Polyethylene foam gaskets are available in a variety of grades, densities and colours from PAR Group. We supply cross-linked polyethylene foam as standard and offer a range of branded grades including Plastazote® and Evazote®.

PE foam makes an ideal gasket material as it offers a low compression set and is highly flexible. The material provides good resistance to weathering, moisture, oils and chemicals and offers excellent thermal insulation properties. Specific grades such as Plastazote® LD white (in all densities) and Plastazote® LD45 pink comply with FDA food contact regulations and are absent of any chemical agents.

Standards

Plastazote LD white in all densities and LD45 pink comply with US FDA 21 CFR 177.1520 for rubber articles intended for repeated use with food.
The following Plastazote® grades also comply with Article 2 of the EEC Directive 90/128/EEC relating to plastic materials and articles intended to come into contact with foodstuffs measures global migration after 10 days at 40°C in a food simulant: LD24 white, LD33 LC white, LD45 white and LD45 yellow.
