Polyurethane Sleeves

Using our own in house welding facilities, we have the capability to manufacture polyurethane sleeves, connectors and chutes in many different shapes and sizes. Our products are branded by our own trademark, Versa-chute®
Versa-chute®

'An extremely tough, flexible chute for the transfer of abrasive materials'
Versa-chute® is a flexible, abrasive resistant chute designed for the transfer and sorting of dry food stuff, grain, grit, powders, wood shavings, dust and other abrasive materials.
Versa-chute® is manufactured from a very durable, clear Polyurethane (TPU) film with a fully sealed welded seam and can be manufactured to many different shapes and sizes to suit your application. Flanges, foam cuffs and reinforcing rings can also be incorporated.
Typical applications: material transfer, sorting, check weigh, flow monitoring, bag making, discharging, depositing, conveying, dispensing and packaging.
Key features:
Tough and durable
Extremely flexible
Very abrasive resistant with excellent tear strength
Reduces the risk of product contamination caused by brittle plastics chutes
FDA approved material
Good food stain resistance
Good resistance to oils & grease
Easy to remove from machinery, compared to rigid plastic type chutes

Statement on Food Approval for TPU-800
EU DIRECTIVE 2002/72
All constituents used in the formulation of TPU-800 have been reviewed and found to be in compliance with the appropriate food contact regulations of EU and EFTA countries, as all of these countries have adopted the food contact directive for plastics 2002/72/EC into their national regulations.
The overall migration limit of 10 mg/dm2 contact surface or 60 mg/Kg food and the specific migration limits for the below mentioned products must be met by the final article coming into contact with foodstuffs:
| 1. Dephenylmethane-4,4’-diisocyanate |
QM = 1 mg/Kg plastic (expressed as NCO) |
| 2. 1,4-butanediol |
SM = 5 mg/Kg food |
| 3. Primary aromatic amines |
SML = not detectable (detection limit 0.02 mg/Kg food expressed as aniline) |
FDA (Food and Drug Administration)
The formulation of TPU-800 uses constituents which meet the current requirements of the FDA for food contact applications when used in accordance with the requirements and limitations of 21 CFR: 175.105: Adhesive, 177.1680: Polyurethane resins, 177.12101: Closure for sealing gaskets for food containers, 177.2600: Rubber articles intended for repeat use.
1for use only: no limitation on amount used, but for use only in closure gasket compositions used in contact with food types VI-A and VI-C (up to 15% alcohol) under conditions of use D,E,F and G as described in Sec. 176.170(c) of this chapter, tables 1 and 2 respectively.
