HMWPE Polyethylene 500 Grade

Polyethylene 500 Grade is a semi-crystalline, thermoplastic engineering material with high toughness and good low temperature properties

 

Key Features:

  • Very low water absorption
  • Good sliding properties
  • Resistant to dilute acids, cleaning agents, numerous solvents
  • Very good electrical insulation
  • Difficult to bond
  • Easily welded
  • Low density

 
Temperature Range:
up to +75ºC, +90ºC short term.

Applications:
Wear strips, chain guides, chute linings, buffers, cutting boards, change parts & protection strips.

 

Availability: 

Colour: Black, green, red, blue and yellow. Other colours available upon request.
Sheet size (mm): 2000 x 1000, 3000 x 1220.
Thickness (mm): 5 to 150.
Rod dia (mm): 8 to 500.


Also available upon request; Regenerated grade, higher temperature grade (up to +130ºC) & metal detectable grades.
