Nylon 66 Sheet

Nylon 66 sheet is a strong, highly machinable engineering plastic that offers good resistance to wear and chemicals. It provides high mechanical damping to help dissipate vibration energy and also offers good electrical insulation properties. Nylon 66 is used in a wide range of industrial applications and is commonly manufactured into components such as scrapers, friction bearings, gear wheels and wear strips.

In comparison to standard grades of nylon 6, nylon 66 offers enhanced mechanical strength, stiffness, lower moisture absorption, better resistance to acids, creep, temperature and wear. Nylon 6 does, however, offer greater impact strength.

At PAR Group, we offer a range of nylon 66 grades to suit your application. We supply natural nylon 66 that is commonly used in food and pharmaceutical processing operations and complies with FDA food contact regulations. Glass filled and flame retardant grades are also available if specific characteristics are required.

We also supply nylon 66 rod in a range of grades and offer a plastic machining service utilising advanced CNC technology if finished products are required. For more information on each grade please follow the links below.

Available Grades of Nylon 66

Nylon 66 Sheet
Nylon 66 Sheet

Offering improved mechanical strength, stiffness and resistance to wear and heat than standard grades of nylon 6. Nylon 66 is commonly manufactured into wear strips, conveyor screws, damping plates or electrically insulating components. Natural nylon 66 is also FDA approved and is a popular option in food processing applications. Temperature range -30°C up to +95°C (+170°C short term).

Nylon 66 Sheet - Glass Filled
Nylon 66 Sheet - Glass Filled

Providing enhanced mechanical properties and resistance to temperatures in comparison to standard grades of nylon 66. Glass filled nylon 66 offers good dimensional accuracy and resistance to heat distortion. It is often manufactured into gears or components. Glass filled nylon 66 is not suitable for food contact applications. Temperature range -40°C up to +110°C (+170°C short term).

Nylon 66 Sheet - Flame Retardant
Nylon 66 Sheet - Flame Retardant

Offering similar mechanical properties to standard grades of nylon 66. Flame retardant nylon 66 has a class UL94 V-0 flammability rating and conforms to EN 45545-2 for use as a fire protection material on railway vehicles. It is commonly machined into cable holders, clamps and channels for use in transport applications. Temperature range -30°C up to +80°C (+170°C short term).
