Augers and Screw Feeds

Augers and Screw Feeds

Augers and screw feeds are designed for the movement of bulk product by rotation, typically within an enclosed tube. They are generally manufactured in either polyethylene PE1000 - UHMWacetal, or nylon and have many advantages compared to metal counterparts. This includes a significant reduction in operating noise, lighter weight for easier handling, and lower friction/better sliding properties for reduced product build up. They are also easier to clean and are often lower cost when compared to metal options. Augers can also be described as flexible spirals or flexible screws.

Applications

Moving, compacting, dosing and transfer of bulk product such as flakes, granules and powders.

Availability

Augers can be manufactured with a standard or variable pitch and all are undertaken to order. Keyways can also be applied if required.
