Fabric based laminates (sometimes referred to as SRBF's or synthetic resin bonded fabrics) are a range of high strength, high temperature, electrically insulating materials. Manufactured using high pressure laminating processes, layers of cotton fabric are interspersed with synthetic phenolic resins to create a rigid, lightweight and wear resistant product.
Typically known for their outstanding electrical strength and insulating characteristics, fabric based laminates are an ideal solution when a rigid, dimensionally stable material is required for low voltage applications. Fabric laminates are frequently used in place of plastic and metallic counterparts due to their low creep, corrosive resistant nature.
All our laminates are available either by the sheet, cut to size, or manufactured into complex components as required. Their rigidity means they can be processed using the same in-house machinery used to convert our plastic sheet materials, including CNC milling, CNC sawing, routing, drilling and turning.
