As part of our aim to give back to the community this year, we organised our annual food bank drive to support two local charities in Preston and Manchester: Chorley Help the Homeless and Middleton Central Foodbank. This initiative aimed to provide essential food supplies to the homeless and vulnerable children in the community, ensuring they wouldn’t go hungry this Christmas.
Chorley Help the Homeless
The food will help Chorley Help the Homeless, a charity that supports people facing homelessness. The donated items will be used to create food parcels, ensuring those in need receive nourishing meals. PAR Group's support helps the charity continue its essential local work.
Middleton Central Foodbank
Middleton Central Foodbank works to prevent hunger in the community. They provide emergency food and help people access needed supplies via referrals. Part of The Trussell Trust, they helped over 2,590 people receive 3-day emergency food supplies between April 2023 and March 2024, and received approximately 29.8 tons of food donations.
Reflecting on this meaningful initiative inspires us to continue seeking ways to support and uplift those in need. The spirit of giving doesn't end with one drive; it forms the foundation for ongoing efforts to create positive change within our local area.
