Heron Brand Tufnol®

Heron brand Tufnol® is a phenolic paper based laminate. It is a first class electrical insulating material with very low moisture absorption. It is especially suitable for use in humid or tropical environments. We offer B1 as an alternative to heron brand Tufnol®.

Applications

Electrical applications where high insulation performance is required in a moist or humid environment. It is ideal for items such as terminal boards, mounting plates, cover plates and insulating spacers. This grade has largely been superseded by the use of epoxy laminates.

• Temperature: Up to +90°C, (+120°C intermittent).
• Excellent electric strength.
• High insulation resistance after immersion in water.
• Good machining properties.
