Polyurethane coated polyester is a versatile, lightweight fabric designed for high-performance applications. It has a flame-retardant polyurethane (PU) coating on one side to enhance safety and durability. The PU coating adds an extra layer of protection, making the fabric flame-resistant while maintaining its flexibility and lightweight properties.
In addition to its flame resistance, the material is treated with a fluorocarbon-based water repellent. This ensures that the fabric effectively repels water and other liquids, making it ideal for outdoor use or environments exposed to moisture.
Polyurethane coated polyester is commonly converted into chutes, bellows, connectors, and sleeves in applications that require a flame-retardant and abrasive material. We can manufacture these in-house, utilising our extensive capabilities.
