Case Study: PVC Covers

PVC covers are commonly used to protect machines and expensive electronic equipment during washdown applications. They are manufactured from PVC coated polyester fabric as standard and we can incorporate velcro, elastic and eyelets as required for fixing. We can also supply covers with fully welded, clear PVC windows which enable the equipment to be used while covered.

Overview

An established tissue paper manufacturer based in the UK had an issue with pulp build up on and around their control panels. This created a requirement to wash down the equipment on a regular basis which could eventually result in water damage over time.

The Solution

PAR visited site and began by measuring up the machines requiring covers. The covers were then drawn up and stitched in-house at our Preston branch. These particular covers took into consideration the fact that the control panels needed to be used in between very frequent washes. This was resolved by incorporating a clear pvc window to allow for continuous use. The velcro fasteners at each side allowed for easy removal as and when needed.
